The partnership with the Ruaraka Subcounty for Epilepsy Medical Assessment Test (EMAT) was quite an event. It is still evident that people need the right information about epilepsy as a chronic condition.
The few cases we handled clearly indicate we still have a journey ahead and can only be destination jointly as epilepsy patients, families, working stations institutions and companies.
The public should also be educated that the government rolled out a functional epilepsy program that gives free medication to epilepsy patients.
A lot of epilepsy patients are suffering in silence both at home and workplace not given a chance to express themselves which makes the condition worse an even heightens suicidal rates. So we are here to make the change with no individual with epilepsy left out.
